About this app

Official App of the Argentine Episcopal Conference (CEA) that offers the official liturgical texts of the Liturgy of the Hours for each day that were approved in 2019 for Argentina. Contains: Invitatory, Office of reading, Lauds (Morning Prayer), Intermediate Hour (Terce, Sixth and None), Vespers (Sunset Prayer) and Compline (Prayer before night rest).

Download the first official application for Argentina to pray the Liturgy of the Hours from your mobile device. An interactive and intelligent app, developed by the Spanish Episcopal Conference for the CEA with the aim of facilitating the prayer of the Divine Office in an orderly manner, with a refined design that facilitates recollection and with a series of functionalities that allow the user to navigate through the liturgical texts with autonomy and comfort.

The application recognizes browsing habits and therefore, when accessing it, invites to pray the Hour corresponding to the time of day in which the user is: Invitatory, Office of reading, Lauds (Morning Prayer), Intermediate Hour (Third, Sixth and None), Vespers (Sunset Prayer) and Compline (Prayer before night rest). The system automatically recommends the prayer of the chronological moment, but at the same time allows complete autonomy to select the prayer that is desired or resume it later once started. Likewise, you can activate reminders or notifications so that the app notifies you with a message on your mobile when it is time to pray the type of prayer that you have predetermined. Compose your list of Favorite Hours and let the app keep you alert. Everything, presented with a usable, intuitive and modern design, for a renewed experience of managing the Liturgy of the Hours.

Likewise, the application of the Liturgy of the Hours CEA has been designed to offer a complete navigation and interrelation between the days of the liturgical year, facilitating the interaction and autonomy of the user. It is possible to select the day that you want throughout the year and, once chosen, continue moving through the different options that the Church has determined for that specific day: Office of the fair, memory or solemnity; Office common or deceased between the Office of the fair or memory. Once an office has been chosen, the application allows the faithful to navigate between the different Hours, either following the chronological order or the one that the user wishes. Likewise, you will be redirected to those sentences that follow the completed ones. Or you will comfortably choose between the different psalms of the day, which can even be read in Latin if you wish. Everything, at the click of a button.

Liturgy of the Hours CEA has been designed to allow the user to choose the reading mode that is most comfortable for each moment and context. Thus, you can choose between three font sizes, between a dark or light background, and an automatic advance button is even incorporated, so that it is not necessary to scroll to advance through the texts: the application moves the sentences automatically, at the same time. speed chosen by the person who uses it, in addition. Maximum comfort to facilitate the encounter with God and the user's interactivity with the application. A design with a simple and sober appearance, but designed for the purpose of this exclusive application.

In an advanced use of the application, Liturgy of the Hours allows you to prepare the celebration of the Mass and the 'lectio divina' with the Lectionary, the readings of the day, and the Missal (Prayers).
